My name is Jack. I own and operate Genlore Woodcraft here in Madison, WI.

Genlore is an intentionally-small hand tool woodshop founded in 2017. Everything I do here is informed by over 14 years of woodworking experience.

I focus mostly on furniture – chairs, stools and benches. I also enjoy working on custom comissions and other special projects. Everything I make is functional and easy on the eyes.

My shop is inspired by my family’s heritage, an appreciation for quality materials and a life-long passion for craftsmanship.
